Meet the 2011 Milwaukee Domes Art Festival Jury
The 2nd Annual Milwaukee Domes Art Festival (2011) is pleased to have Shelby Keefe, Graeme Reid, and Catherine Davidson as jurors for this year's great art festival. These individuals have a strong background in the art industry, making them the perfect choice to jury our great art festival.

Born in Scotland, Graeme Reid graduated from the University of Glasgow and Indiana State University with Master’s degrees in 1990 and 1993 respectively. With eighteen years experience in arts management/curatorial work he is currently Assistant Director at the Museum of Wisconsin Art having previously worked at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center (Sheboygan, WI), the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette (IN) and the Swope Art Museum (Terre Haute, IN). Over the years he has curated over 120 group and solo exhibitions as well as worked on the development and installation of institutional collections. An experienced judge on a local, regional and national level and award winning writer on the arts, he has taught art history and the humanities at ISU and Purdue University and is a regular guest lecturer at various Wisconsin institutions.
Shelby Keefe is a highly decorated contemporary impressionistic painter, teacher and performance artist. She has been the poster artist for some of the largest and most prestigious art festivals in the country including the Cherry Creek Festival of the Arts and the Milwaukee Lakefront Festival of the Arts. Shelby has also been chosen as the Channel 10 Great TV Auction Featured Artist for 2010. Graduating in 1981 with a BFA from Cardinal Stritch University, and after retiring from a career in graphic design, she now operates her own art studio and exhibition space in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her award-winning urban landscape paintings have earned her participation in prestigious national juried shows and arts festivals as well as garnering commission work for a variety of corporate clients and private collectors. Her oil paintings are found in collections such as The Bradley Foundation, Acuity, Northwestern Mutual, in many other businesses around Milwaukee, and in private collections around the nation. Her individual awards, honors and accolades are too numerous to list.

Catherine Davidson, the owner of CR Davidson Art, an independent art advisory firm, has worked with Milwaukee area businesses and individuals since 1981. The firm specializes in identifying the art related needs of her clients, and then creating a plan to incorporate art acquisition, along with custom framing, installation and inventory control programs. The office and art showroom have been located in The Historic Third Ward's Marshall Building since 1991. Ms. Davidson began working with Northwestern Mutual in 1978 by commissioning the "Dancer", bronze sculpture, by Tom Queoff; this working relationship has continued over the years in acquisition consultation and art commissions. The Foley-Lardner offices in Milwaukee, Chicago, Madison and Detroit have used the firm's services; as have Acuity Insurance in Sheboygan, Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, University School of Milwaukee, and the YMCA-Metropolitan Milwaukee along with many other private clients.
An artistic family and a degree in Art from Sullins College along with early jobs in interior design, art sales and custom frame design instilled Catherine's passion for art. With the opportunities to travel to many International Art Exhibitions and Regional Art Festivals the knowledge of resources grew over the years and CR Davidson Art began a focus on original art by regional artists in the 1980's, with a personal fondness of original prints and sculpture. When possible, CR Davidson Art hosts small exhibitions in the office/showroom, which are open to the public.

Alternate Juror: William DeLind (Bill)
Bill came to Milwaukee after graduating from Michigan State University. Here he found his true calling and love, becoming an art dealer. In the 42 years he's owned his business Bill moved it 9 times...each time to a better location. Now located in the George Watts & Son building, on the corner of Jefferson and Mason Streets, he recalls a conversation with the late George Watts who told him 25 years ago, that this corner was "the best retail corner in the state of Wisconsin".
The gallery is eclectic. Featured are paintings, drawings and sculptures from the 19th and 20th century, Antique French posters, and select artworks from outstanding regional and area artists.
In the 1970's Bill made several trips to Barbizon, France, about 40km south of Paris where he gained an even greater appreciation for the artists of the 19th century that first went out of doors, and painted ‘en plein air'. Walking the trails in the Fontainebleau Woods, and the surrounding country side where Corot, Courbet, Rousseau, Diaz, and other notable artists walked and painted instilled an even greater perspective and appreciation for the style. Long ago Bill became friends with the Pissarro family, whose artworks have often been featured prominently in his gallery.
Because of his love and knowledge of Plein Air artworks, Bill has been invited to judge numerous Plein Air shows and competitions. In his spare time he is very active in his Masonic Lodge, in Scottish Rite Masonry, he loves gardening, collecting wine, theater and gourmet cooking.
